Job Summary  | This employee plays a vital role in the international student admission and record maintenance process. They are trained to evaluate academic transcripts, test scores, and relevant credentials. Responsibilities include preparing, verifying, and entering data into computerized student information systems. The International Undergraduate Admissions Evaluator will work with the Undergraduate International Admissions team to process applications for the current admissions cycle and assist in maintaining student records, both for the Utah Asia Campus and the main campus. This employee will also communicate with students, departments, and other on-campus partners to address inquiries regarding admission policies, the submission and processing of related documentation, and to connect students with campus resources. It is important to note that this position does not entail active recruitment of potential applicants.

Responsibilities  | Assist in evaluating international undergraduate applications for all University of Utah campuses. Respond to emails related to international undergraduate admissions. Provide customer service support at our office windows and via phone calls as it relates to international undergraduate admissions. Process credentials related to international admissions. Monitors students’ academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable. Manages daily work responsibilities and recommends changes to the supervisor to improve processes. Will be cross-trained in other areas, including Utah Asia Campus undergraduate evaluations and other special projects as assigned. Other Duties as Assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  | Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), one of which in an academic setting; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. College coursework in a related area is preferred.
