Job Description
We are seeking a motivated professional to lead the commercial growth of LEGO.com across the AMS region. 

In this role, you will manage a talented team and collaborate with various functions to drive commercial growth and enhance the shopper experience, playing a key part in our Global Ecommerce strategy.

Core Responsibilities  
  • Lead AMS LEGO.com commercial sales performance and P&L across our three country sites in USA, Canada and Mexico 
  • Own the AMS LEGO.com strategy, budget and forecast 
  • Manage a growing direct and indirect AMS team across trading, merchandising, marketing, operations and consumer services  
  • Partner with many functions to deliver the commercial results, brand engagement and shopper improvements – Global Ecommerce, broader LEGO Retail, Brand Marketing, Loyalty & CRM, Finance, Supply Chain, Distribution, Consumer Services and Technology 
  • Be an active part of the Global Ecommerce and AMS regional leadership teams and influence Global and local strategies 
  • Responsible for using data to identify key strategies, trading activities and partner communications to accelerate an already strong and growing ecommerce business 
  • Ensure a broad approach to building brand engagement, sales momentum and profitability 
  • Translate and support rollout of global ecommerce and brand strategies into the AMS region (e.g. sustainability, loyalty, new site features)

LEGO Retail is responsible for our direct-to-consumer business through LEGO brand-owned channels including online (LEGO.com in 35 countries) and 1000+ LEGO stores in 10+ countries.  

Global Ecommerce, part of LEGO Retail, is responsible for the growth of LEGO.com and plays a pivotal role in the LEGO Group Commercial Strategy. The LEGO.com teams are globally distributed and cover all proficiencies to operate our global digital flagship. The teams are located in London, Billund, Singapore, Sydney, Seoul, Munich, Boston and Enfield offices. 

This role will lead the commercial growth of LEGO.com in the AMS region. Today the AMS region represents 55% of our LEGO.com business and the US site is our biggest store in the world. 

Do you have what it takes?  
  • Extensive experience in direct-to-consumer ecommerce across multiple countries and regions 
  • Track record of driving commercial growth in the AMS region with focus on sales, shopper NPS and profitability 
  • Comprehensive understanding of all the ecommerce trading levers with ability to interpret the insights and agility to drive commercial growth 
  • Comprehensive approach considering the entire shopper omnichannel experience, brand building, commercial momentum, and P&L impact. 
  • Understand ecommerce landscape and regional specificities 
  • Demonstrated leadership and can handle situations with confidence, tact, and resourcefulness 
  • Cool under pressure and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills 
  • Approach all situations with kindness and in line with the LEGO values
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and engaging partners at all levels 
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to communicate openly and collaboratively across cultures and time zones within a large, complex multinational corporation 
  • Experience managing, developing and coaching a globally distributed team 
  • An enthusiastic, positive approach and determination to overcome obstacles 
  • Results orientation with a focus on quality, efficiency, and operational excellence; commitment to continuous improvement. 
  • Shopper-centric and data driven decision making 
  • Ability to cut through clutter and complexity to create clarity and simplicity 
  • Self-starter and highly motivated and organized; capable of working independently, yet collaboratively 
  • Problem solving with a "roll-up-your-sleeves", "get it done" mentality and team-oriented approach 
  • Experience running ecommerce sites that need to build the brand in addition to drive commercial results 
  • Understanding of the broader ecommerce landscape in AMS across major ecommerce platforms and marketplaces 
  • Understanding of digital marketing (search, affiliates, social, display), loyalty and CRM levers preferred! 
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally up to 20% 
 
Additional details on this position 
  • The salary for this position has a range of $196,200 - $294,300 USD based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
