The Associate Editor will manage multiple tasks that include writing, editing, and project management as part of our energetic, highly collaborative editorial team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Writing anatomical and biological definitions and quiz questions to support our apps
- Editing assignments, lab activities, and other manuscript for course curricula
- Peer reviewing content from other team members
- Managing text changes and other edits to our content in our Content Management System
- Updating assignment and course content available to our Courseware customers
- Coordinate within or between product teams to integrate new text and associated content
- Outsourcing and coordinating voice-over audio and closed captions for animation projects and other app content
- Outsourcing projects to external proofreaders and translators
- Helping us QA our apps
- Researching Latin names for new anatomy we’re adding
- Collaborate with other team members to continually improve processes
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Background in anatomy or biological sciences preferred
- Exceptional writing and proofreading skills
- Ability to research and summarize scientific content for target student levels and learning objectives
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to learn different content management processes for different products
- Communication skills and ability to work with software and 3D developers on product teams
- Ability to manage and meet deadlines
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a science-related field or Journalism, English, Writing, or Communication preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in writing/editing
- Ability to manage competing projects and priorities

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.$41,500.00 - $66,400.00 USD
