About the Opportunity

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days/week in the office (Malvern, PA or Reston, VA)

We are looking for an Associate Events Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for an early career candidate wishing to join the high-tech space. Reporting to the Manager, Events, you will be joining a collaborative team focusing on project management for our annual event portfolio, while assisting in the planning, execution, and logistics of assigned events. Where you will make an impact

  • Work alongside Events Team to plan and execute industry events, from venue selection and vendor coordination to transportation, accommodations, and on-site execution, within budget and in accordance with established processes.
  • Attend events to provide on-site assistance.
  • Assist in development and management of our Center for Excellence guidelines, manage equipment inventory. 
  • Focus on team engagement with Finance and Procurement and serve as point of contact for Campus Life Committee leaders hosting community-based office events.  
  • Develop and manage event budgets in partnership with Finance organization, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.  

What you will bring

  • 2-3 years of experience in project management, event management - B2B, high tech/SaaS or higher ed preferred. 
  • Excellent program management, calendar timeline, and budget management experience.  
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, and team project management tools such as Monday.com desirable. 
  • Capable of managing strong partnerships across cross-functional teams.  
  • Ability to occasionally work with agility and empowered to take risks and try new things. 
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and make informed decisions under pressure. 
  • Strong focus on delivering measurable results, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
