ETS Is looking for a highly motivated innovation leader to develop and execute an AI powered innovation strategy and coordinate AI initiatives across the enterprise.
The Associate Vice President, Enterprise Innovation is responsible for the development and execution of an Enterprise -wide forward thinking AI strategy. The individual is responsible for the development and integration of AI capabilities that will differentiate ETS’ products, solutions and services moving forward, such as automated personalization, smart recommendations, and skills prediction leveraging multimodal AI.
The AVP is responsible for working with business leaders across the organization to help them understand how they can best integrate AI into their product roadmaps to drive growth. The AVP will also be accountable for a capabilities roadmap that ensures ETS remains on the cutting edge of AI innovation and product development and enables growth in current and new customer markets.
This position reports into the Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer — and will lead a team of 12-15 people.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defines and executes an Enterprise Innovation strategy powered by AI
- Collaborates with the Marketing Science team to analyze customer needs, technology trends and competitive intelligence to shape the innovation strategies
- Develops and oversees the execution of AI capability development which includes short term integration into existing products, mid-term development aligned to business unit product roadmaps, and long-term groundbreaking AI innovation.
- Integrates with cross-functional product and sales teams and oversees the execution of customer-centric development of blue-sky products and services.
- Coordinates the enterprise-wide AI strategy workstreams with a cross functional team of leaders
- Partners with cross functional leadership to integrate AI innovation into scaled solutions that are commercially viable.
- Acts as a key stakeholder in due diligence of all AI-based merger and acquisition due diligence and is a key stakeholder for post-acquisition optimization of AI capabilities in the product or service.
- Acts as a thought-leader and evangelist for the next generation of AI products and capabilities at ETS.
- Provides leadership, direction, coaching and support to ETS colleagues through training and clear articulation of strategies
- Stays abreast of emerging technology developments, potential edtech and workforce applications, and associated research.
- Adheres to ethical standards and complies with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function
Experience and Skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Masters in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM related fields.
- 10 years of combined experience in the fields of AI, technology, product development & management.
- At least 5 years leading teams working in product design or development in the Edtech and/or workforce space
OTHER SKILLS
- Experience engaging with target market and user segments to understand their needs and aligning solutions with those needs
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in agile teams
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-divisional stakeholder groups
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated success setting and executing AI strategy for an enterprise or a business area in edtech or workforce
- Demonstrated success leading multiple teams in agile business and product development from identifying business needs to the development of solutions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work across a complex organizational structure and diverse stakeholders.
- Experience communicating effectively with senior executives to gain understanding and support, while speaking with one voice across the organization
- Demonstrated AI and/or Edtech thought leadership
