Job Summary  | University of Utah IT (UIT) is seeking a highly motivated entry level business analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT purchasing processes are efficient, compliant, and continuously improving.
Responsibilities  | Ensure IT Purchasing Processes Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to established IT purchasing policies and procedures. Update Purchasing Catalog: Regularly update and maintain the IT purchasing catalog to reflect current products, services, and pricing. Analyze Process Performance: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the performance of IT purchasing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions. Reporting: Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, process performance, and compliance metrics to management. Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, and procurement teams to ensure seamless purchasing operations and address any issues that arise. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of purchasing processes, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications  | Requires a bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
