About the Opportunity

As part of Ellucian’s Business Intelligence team, you’ll develop critical data assets and manage company-wide reporting to drive informed decision-making. This team leads BI initiatives that enhance data-driven business management.
As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll deliver People insights using Tableau, Power BI, and automation tools, working closely with HR leaders to produce accurate, timely, and impactful reporting. Through collaboration, you’ll help refine BI solutions that improve business outcomes while gaining deep expertise in HR analytics.
What you will bring
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience in a role that involves Compensation, HR project management, HR systems and/or database management and data visualization and able to work with confidential datasets
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge including complex formulas and pivot tables and experience performing analysis from multiple data sets.
- Experience with data in all areas of HR, including Recruiting, Talent Development, Total Rewards, etc.
- Experience related to data analysis leveraging SQL preferred
- Experience with building dashboards with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau and Power BI, and generating insights from analysis
- Strong critical thinking and execution skills.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and effective maintenance of people data
- Flexibility and ability to provide fast turnaround when needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Data driven mentality with a focus on thoughtful action
- A self-starter and able to work independently but also collaborate in a close team environment; confident enough to challenge the status quo
Where you will make an impact
- Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to help HR professionals and business leaders understand organization trends (e.g., hiring, turnover, workforce planning)
- Develop and implement innovative, data-driven solutions that address business needs
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners, and HR colleagues in other functional areas to identify key workforce issues impacting the business
- Use a consultative approach to determine and articulate internal customer business questions, develop the best approach for data analysis, and turn data into actionable insights & recommendations
- Participate in HR insights projects to investigate potential measures, correlations, and causality connections for critical business issues
- Develop hypotheses, document assumptions, and analyze results as they relate to key business initiatives
- Explore and analyze the data creatively to identify HR insights that add value in the strategic decision-making process
- Deliver high quality analysis, reports, and presentations using simple and effective visualizations that can be scaled for consumption by a larger audience
- Create and maintain dashboards. Develop processes to streamline the compilation of periodic reporting/analysis
- Create advanced models in Excel to combine data sources and steer business decisions
