Snapshot of the Role:
Reporting into our Content Marketing org/GTM team, the Class Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing creatively compelling and effective launch campaigns for what makes MasterClass MasterClass...our classes! You will be responsible for the end to end process from strategy and insights through to execution and reporting for a portion of the class slate.
The ideal candidate is a natural strategist who can independently drive fully-integrated class marketing strategies from creative briefs to go-to-market plans. This person is also a strong operator that can successfully execute complex marketing campaigns to deliver revenue and engagement outcomes. This person is able to effectively manage large cross-functional marketing teams, can work with channel partners to aggregate recommendations for optimizations, and can collaborate with external instructor teams to execute brilliant co-marketing pushes. In this role, you will work alongside world class marketers and learn how to test, learn, and push winning campaigns that celebrate the World’s Best.
What You Will Do:
- Create launch programs that deliver category and class results
- Write creative briefs that inspire thumb-stopping marketing content for our classes
- Create, collaborate on and execute go-to-market with channel teams and external partners
- Ensure brand voice and unique class offerings through creative collaboration and reviews of copy, video, and static assets.
- Work cross-functionally with content, creative, talent, product, product marketing, and operations partners seamlessly as the marketing lead at each stage of the class launch process.
- Use data and insights to inform recommendations and GTM strategy for each launch.
- Develop and execute marketing plans with instructor teams for launches as well as assisting in managing reviews and delivery of corresponding marketing assets.
- Create and present thoughtful plans to the broader marketing team ensuring that cross-channel partners have the detailed information needed for successful launches across Class Marketing led initiatives.
About You:
- 5-7 years marketing, brand, or advertising account management or strategic planning experience managing complex, full-funnel campaigns for leading consumer brands that have impacted business outcomes (sales, retention)
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and/or clients to deliver the highest level of work.
- Experience and eagerness to leverage data to make decisions. Ability to identify and interpret patterns from a blend of qualitative and quantitative data points.
- Experience writing marketing briefs, positioning statements, and messaging frameworks
- A proactive, efficient, and resourceful approach to getting things done, and an ability to thrive and problem solve, manage time, and projects independently in high-volume environments.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience working in entertainment, media, content or a consumer lifestyle brand preferred.

The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
MasterClass’s salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more). The range listed is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
