Overview:
Princeton University's compensation programs are critical for attracting, retaining, rewarding and engaging a talented and diverse workforce, and is integral in driving performance, innovation and commitment. Working within the Office of Human Resources, the Compensation Administrator supports the administrative operations of the Compensation Team. This position supports the design, development and administration of the University's compensation structures, programs, and processes. This position works closely with outside vendors, consultants, compensation and human resources staff to support the needs of both the Compensation Operations and Client Teams.
This is a two year, benefits eligible term position.
Responsibilities:
Administer, process, audit and serve as the primary point of contact for the following Additional Pay programs; Temporary Pay, Union Pay, and Retention Pay.
Track and review confidential salary adjustment requests, serving as the primary point of contact for all workflow systems (GTeForms, OnBase, PeopleSoft), liaise with compensation team/internal HR partners/external clients to ensure requests contain required information, and ensure timely processing of transactions.
Review and analyze the annual EEO pay equity analysis, working with the Client Team to respond to and/or resolve any issues. Monitor the EEO job cohorts to ensure proper categorization.
Support the Operations Team for annual compensation programs including; Merit Increase Program, Executive Compensation, Salary Budget Planning, Annual Market & Equity Review, Tiger & Spot Awards, and Minimum Hourly Rate Review.
Provide support the to the Client Team by processing compensation code changes.
Assist in the development and delivery of tools, communications and training that support University compensation programs, policies and projects. Act as primary point of contact for all website updates, and compensation form changes.
Support the annual salary survey participation process for all compensation surveys.
Participate in ad hoc salary surveys and other data exchanges to provide market information needed to support compensation recommendations and to help identify market trends.
Liaise with compensation team to ensure that survey positions are matched appropriately.
Assist with the biannual MarketPay migration and audit. Organize and maintain compensation data such as job descriptions and organizational charts in a document management system.
Support the Compensation Team with external vendor/consultant-led projects.
Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in compensation, human resources or related experience working with data
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent analytical skills

- Excellent judgment and discretion
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred qualifications
- Excellent Excel skills
- Knowledge of HR Systems (PeopleSoft)
- Experience submitting compensation surveys
