Job Summary | Huntsman Cancer Institute is dedicated to training the next generation of cancer researchers. We seek a talented and motivated Project Coordinator to assist with three Institutional training grants: 1) A National Cancer Institute-funded T32 Training Program in cancer biology for PhD seeking graduate students
2) An American Cancer Society-funded post-baccalaureate training program for recent college graduates interested in pursuing careers in biomedical research
3) An American Cancer Society-funded Institutional Research Grant that provided pilot project funding for early stage faculty members

Responsibilities | 1. Soliciting and tracking applications for the different training programs.
2. Organizing review panels to evaluate applications.
3. Communication with program awardees.
4. Help awardees engage with the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
5. Organize program activities, e.g. career development activities/program retreats, for the
different training programs.
6. Track trainee/participant outcomes, program evaluation surveys
7. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications | Six years related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Bachelor’s degree in a related area is preferred.
