Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Customer Success Specialist, Payment Project Manager who is passionate about simplifying school payments and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You thrive on building relationships, solving complex operational challenges, and helping schools and districts get the most out of our payments platform. You have experience with merchant onboarding, underwriting, and payment operations—and you love guiding customers through new systems that make their lives easier. You're organized, proactive, and always thinking a few steps ahead. As part of our growing team, you'll play a critical role in onboarding schools, driving adoption of our payments solution, and shaping how we scale and support our customers. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that every customer has a smooth journey from implementation to long-term success with ParentSquare Pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting and onboarding
- Assist with kickoff and management of underwriting data collection process and onboarding process (training) with prospective merchants
- Conduct customer interviews to identify customer needs
- Support setting up automation to automate internal processes
- Contact customers to support underwriting and onboarding as needed
- Adoption
- Write playbooks for adoption for different segments and types
- Support knowledge building for efficient operations and processes in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Work closely with 3rd party vendors to enable seamless customer experience
- Conduct training with customers on the latest product features
- Advise on what new materials need to be built to help drive customer usage of payments product
- Internal operations
- Answer internal staff and management and merchants’ inquiries with regard to needed customer support issues
- Monitor merchants’ card processing activities using different 3rd party tools
- Contact merchants, cardholders and banks to verify transactions processed through merchant accounts
- Complete management reporting, informing management of performance and related application completion of channels
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in onboarding customers and driving adoption of a usage-based product
- Experience in payments or fintech, including ability to understand and make recommendations for changes to payment operations
- Experience or curiosity in K-12 Education or K-12 Education Technology space
- Displaying a “Founder Mentality” and demonstrate accountability and ownership of Company goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, recognize trends, and recommend forward-looking strategies
- Data self-sufficiency: proficiency in data mining to access relevant data without the need for outside assistance
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally among diverse teams (e.g., product / engineering, customer success, sales, marketing, support)
- Ability to drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team

This role pays an annual salary $50,000 - $65,000, DOE
The pay range for this role is:
50,000 - 65,000 USD per year (Remote)
