General Job Description:

The Demand Gen Specialist, under the direction of the Marketing Director, is responsible for spearheading initiatives that significantly enhance our sales pipeline and market presence by identifying and qualifying potential leads through various channels. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities to support our sales team in achieving revenue targets. You'll collaborate across various departments, influencing marketing strategies and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in lead generation, paid acquisition through social media and paid search, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of marketing and sales processes.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategy and execution for all outbound lead generation efforts, including events. Optimize automated attraction and education series to generate new leads, building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities to support sales targets.
  • Strategize and develop omnichannel lead generation campaigns to attract, engage, and convert new market segments, promoting annual campaigns and product/platform launches
  • Manage the planning and execution of paid digital advertising campaigns, including PPC, display, and social media advertising — including the collaboration with internal team members and external agencies and vendors. 
  • Serve as principal administrator of email marketing campaigns, overseeing technical setup, audience segmentation, A/B testing, and campaign optimization.
  • Utilize marketing automation and HubSpot tools to masterfully cultivate a rich, sustainable lead ecosystem. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly the content team, to create compelling and relevant messages that not only inform, but inspire action amongst the target audience.
  • Work closely with the Sales Assessment Consultants, Business Developers, and Customer Service teams to develop targeted lead generation campaigns and strategies.
  • Work closely with the Creative team to design compelling marketing assets that drive performance of demand generation campaigns, including display ads, social graphics, email templates, landing pages, and print collateral. 
  • Track and report on lead generation activities, including lead quality, conversion rates, and pipeline growth, translating insights into strategic optimizations to improve conversion funnel. 
  • Manage and optimize the HubSpot platform to create and track campaigns, build landing pages, and manage contacts effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest outbound marketing trends and best practices, applying them to enhance marketing efforts and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for lead generation in collaboration with the Product Marketer. 
  • Negotiate contract renewals with vendors. 
  • While rare, the candidate must be able to work evenings, overtime, and weekends as necessary. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):

 Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in outbound marketing, focusing on utilizing HubSpot effectively.
  • HubSpot Certification (Inbound Marketing and HubSpot Marketing Software) is required within the first 90 days of hire.
  • Experience in HubSpot segmenting and filtering leads and creating workflow automations.
  • A deep passion for helping people of all abilities receive the tools that help them live their best lives.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Google Analytics or an understanding of basic marketing analytics, including the use of CPC, CPA, and CPM in KPI evaluation.
  • Experience working with Adobe programs.
  • Capable of working well with executives, teams, and vendors.

Hours:

This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday. Work hours begin and end between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, with a one-hour break for lunch and two rest breaks. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary per business needs.

Travel:

10-25%. Travel to the Torrance office for the occasional team or corporate event, and travel to various conferences likely.
