About the Opportunity
The Director of Application Services main objective is to drive customer success by managing, supporting and providing ongoing evolution and optimization of all Enterprise systems (technical and functional) at the college / university. Enterprise systems include, but not limited to, Ellucian PowerCampus and Colleague ERP, TargetX/Salesforce CRM, Canvas LMS, Financial Edge, Raisers Edge, etc. This is a highly technical position, and the ideal candidate must have the technical depth and be able to work independently, provide leadership and support, including meeting regularly with campus leadership to discuss progress of work, resolve problems, and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
Where you will make an impact
- Managing and optimizing PowerCampus and/or Colleague ERP and associated administrative systems.
- Managing integration between PowerCampus and third-party systems.
- Managing migration from on-premises to Colleague SaaS.
- Ensuring and managing data quality, integrity and accuracy across systems.
- Creating report dashboards and reports for campus leadership and departmental use.
- Providing deep data analysis and business intelligence to support institution’s strategic goals.
- Working collaboratively with other campus stakeholders to meet data reporting needs.
- Providing change management, communication planning, testing procedures, and programming documentation of all administrative systems.
- Providing client liaison and technical support for PowerCampus and other administrative applications including system configuration and usage guidance to the administrative user community.
- Supporting departmental staff and administration with the identification, evaluation, selection, support and maintenance of systems solutions.
- Providing systems analysis, problem solving support, and necessary programming support to provide efficient and effective use of administrative information systems in support of Client’s goals and objectives.
- Meeting with users and staff to determine the impact of proposed changes in hardware or software for users.
- Assisting with the evaluation of third-party software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing technology.
- Evaluating proposed information technology projects to assess adequacy of existing hardware and recommend purchase of new equipment and software as required.
- Acting as a strong leader providing good customer relationship skills and presence in managing the client’s ongoing evolution of its modernization efforts.
- Effectively managing projects and resources using strong project management skills to articulate project demands, recommend priorities to support groups and committees, and provide frequent project updates while adhering to established timeline.
What you will bring
- Demonstrable expertise and experience with MS SQL programming and SQL Server administration.
- Demonstrable expertise and experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Data Driven Subscription, etc.
- Demonstrable expertise and experience with data modeling, analysis, business intelligence.
- Experience with Salesforce/TargetX; Experience with ERP integration is highly desirable.
- Experience with Financial Edge, Raiser’s Edge, CBORD and CASHNET Payment Gateway.
- Experience with CANVAS LMS.
- Experience with managing Web Services with REST, JSON, etc.
- Experience with React JS library is a plus.
- Working knowledge of IIS.
- Experience working with various college departments in collaborative and supportive ways.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
