Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office).

About the Team  
College Board’s Engagement and Reach team is organized by audience, and is comprised of the Engagement and Reach: Professionals team and the Engagement and Reach: Students and Families team and. These teams build, execute, and optimize multi-channel campaigns to meet our audiences where they are and drive forward our organizational priorities. We’ve built a reputation for our attention to detail, focus on audience experience, and data-driven approach to delivering the right message at the right time to the audiences we serve.   
 
About the Opportunity   
 
College Board’s mission is to ensure all students have access to post-secondary opportunities. As Director, K-12 Engagement and Reach, you’ll help fulfill this mission by expanding the reach of our programs – including Advanced Placement and the SAT Suite of Assessments. You’ll lead strategic campaigns to both engage small districts and support large-scale, cross-functional state plans. This role is uniquely collaborative, requiring close partner with colleagues in State and District Partnerships, Global Policy & External Relations, and Engagement and Reach. 

In this role you will:  
Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns to engage small and rural districts and expand the reach of Advanced Placement courses and the SAT Suite of Assessments (60%) 
  • Build a deep understanding of the unique needs of small and rural districts across the country 
  • Explore and test new forms of digital engagement to reach small districts  
  • Create tailored content, including customer success stories, that reflects the needs of different types of districts and schools, building examples of use cases for these audiences 
  • In partnership with State and District Partnerships, maximize opportunities for lead generation at national and local in-person events 
  • Extend our virtual event strategy to reach more educators, and develop a comprehensive follow up experience 
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance 
Raise market awareness of new course offerings including Career Kickstart (20%)  
  • Create campaigns to reach new district-and-school level decision makers and influencers  
  • Ensure processes for interest generation and collection are standardized across new course launches 
  • Develop resources for lead follow up, including templated emails 
 Lead campaigns to achieve specific state objectives for the SAT Suite of Assessments (20%)  
  • In partnership with a cross-functional group of colleagues, establish a standard “playbook” for development and execution of EaR campaigns in support of specific state objectives 
  • Work across multiple states; understand the state landscape and modify plans accordingly 
  • Set clear KPIs for each campaign; monitor and optimize campaign performance 
  • Report on learnings with key stakeholders 
 
About You  
You have:  
  • Preferred B2B and K12 industry experience  
  • Experience creating content across different media platforms 
  • A passion for supporting educational and career opportunities for millions of students  
  • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across many teams and relationship building skills  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working through change and ambiguity   
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write, proofread, and edit ; and regularly lead meetings and present on campaign progress and results 
  • The proven ability to move forward multiple time-sensitive projects in concert, both independently and as a member of the team     
  • A proactive mindset - ability and willingness to proactively solve problems, anticipate and prioritize key tasks and resolve issues; and make connections to related workstreams 
  • Ability to listen to colleagues and interpret their needs and feedback  
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • The ability to travel a minimum of 4-6 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business 
  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $80,000 to $135,000. College Board differentiates salaries by location so where you live will narrow the portion of this range in which you can expect a salary.
