Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director of Corporate Learning will be overseeing and leading the organization's corporate learning strategy and initiatives. This position is crucial in ensuring that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the company's goals, adapt to changing environments, and improve overall performance. The Director will play a critical role in scaling the culture and energizing the business strategy through remote first learning. The Director will partner with insurance professionals, technology development teams, data analysts, and business subject matter experts (SMEs) across the enterprise to source, create, and deliver training and knowledge content.

Knows the Business
  • Maintain and establish educational models reflecting the vision and values of Patra.
  • Create Patra's corporate learning vision and strategy by learning the business and work closely with executives, SMEs, and the HR leadership team to understand business priorities, skill gaps, and the future of the business.
  • Be involved and network inside the L&D industry to apply future state learning technologies and practices to Patra's business, e.g., Insurance, BPO (business process outsourcing), Process Improvement and Technology.
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the performance and success of Patra's Learning & Development Programs. 
  • Identify skill gaps and provide opportunities for employees to grow within the company.
 
Leads Others
  • Direct all aspects of online training and eLearning creation, including conceptualizing, developing content, and managing relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with all departments in planning, organizing, and implementing educational programs.
  • Lead in the development, revision, and communication of training policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization and facilitate online training courses.
  • Lead and manage the L&D team, which includes trainers, instructional designers, and coordinators.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business needs and shape learning programs that address those needs.

  • Design high-impact, scalable, and inclusive blended learning experiences aligned with Patra's culture, incorporating Patra's fundamental principal of "Do the right thing" and the Pillars of Patra "Honesty Integrity Respect.”
  • Create and implement learning and development (L&D) strategies to ensure employees' learning outcomes align with department performance goals and organizational needs.
  • Determine key metrics and rigorous evaluation strategies to assess programs' impact.
  • Share progress with the business and partner with HR Leadership, identify key insights to inform future actions and decision making.
  • Oversee the implementation of both in-person and digital learning programs.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of learning programs and making data-driven decisions to improve them.

  • Monitor the effectiveness/outcomes of all the organization’s educational programs.
  • Evaluate and select external training providers and technologies, if necessary.
  • Safeguard company and employee interests while proactively redirecting and centralizing all training modules and courses. 
  • Use excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying ideas and training content.
  • Professionally negotiate learning outcomes, influence Patra population, and provide constructive feedback to others.
  • Complete other learning and development related tasks and duties assigned. 
 
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10-15 years of People Operations, Learning and Development, or Human Resources
  • Expertise in areas of data and analytics, customer relations, career coaching, or internal communications.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms, Docebo - Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other digital learning tools.
 
Working Conditions
  • Work from home. 
  • Minimum internet speed of 6 mbps download and 3 mbps upload; no satellite.
