ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director, Learning and Development will lead the design, development, and evolution of learning programs that strengthen leadership capability, drive employee growth, and align with organizational priorities. This role will architect scalable, high-impact development experiences—particularly in leadership development—through original content creation, learning journeys, and strong cross-functional partnerships, especially with HR Business Partners and organizational leaders. The ideal candidate blends instructional design expertise with business acumen and brings a passion for unlocking human potential at all levels of the organization.

THE DETAILS: This is a remote, work-from-home opportunity. This role requires infrequent travel. 

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

Program Design & Development
  • Design and build end-to-end learning programs (especially for leadership and manager development) that are scalable, inclusive, and aligned to strategic goals.
  • Create original content, tools, resources, and experiences—balancing virtual, in-person, and self-paced modalities.
  • Develop structured learning journeys that address the needs of different populations, from new people managers to senior leaders.
 
Stakeholder & HRBP Partnership
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand capability needs and translate them into targeted development solutions.
  • Gather and apply feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve learning experiences.
  • Consult across departments to ensure learning strategy supports performance, engagement, and succession planning.
 
Facilitation & Enablement
  • Facilitate key learning experiences and train-the-trainer sessions where appropriate.
  • Coach and enable leaders to deliver learning or reinforce capability-building in their teams.
 
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Define success metrics for learning programs and track impact on performance, engagement, and leadership readiness.
  • Use data and feedback to iterate and evolve learning programs in partnership with analytics teams, HRBPs, and learners.

  • Experience with learning technology platforms and tools (e.g., LMS, authoring tools, virtual facilitation platforms).
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Education or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in learning & development, talent development, or leadership development, with a strong background in program design and content creation.
 
Pay Range: $130,000-$160,000 annually.   In addition, Directors are eligible for a bonus opportunity.  Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience and  geographical location.
