Job Summary
The Director for Indianapolis Program Operations serves as a key operational leader responsible for the seamless execution of academic and programmatic functions in Indianapolis. This position will help manage the daily operations for the Purdue University in Indianapolis, ensuring that programs across the portfolio including the College of Science, College of Engineering, Polytechnic, and Daniels School of Business are efficiently implemented and actions taken to ensure success. Report to the SVP for Indianapolis, the director will regularly work with university leadership, particularly the Associate Dean for Engineering in Indianapolis to oversee internal processes, optimizes workflows, and addresses immediate challenges while maintaining strategic alignment. They are responsible for facilitating communication across the enterprise and ensuring that information flows effectively between academic leadership, faculty, staff, and students.
Additionally, this position would play a crucial role in advancing the university's strategic initiatives, including new program rollout in Indianapolis. With a focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution, this individual would navigate complex institutional dynamics, enabling the Senior Vice Provost to concentrate on high-level decision-making and external representation. By maintaining a structured yet adaptable operational framework, this role would be instrumental in ensuring institutions success by ensuring the execution of events, academic success programs, and support college-level initiatives in the Indianapolis location.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree
- Eight or more years of relevant experience
- Ability to play a critical role in supporting Indianapolis program priorities
- Ability to ensure the daily execution of academic operations and develop strategies to support high level execution of priorities set by the SVP for Indianapolis
- Navigate complex institutional dynamics with a focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Support launch of new programs and other special projects that need high-level expertise
- Expertise in core communications principles, strategies, and best practices
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with senior executives, faculty, and staff
- Ability to think strategically, and set adn manage priorities to implement strategies
- Supervisory skills and experience managing professional staff
