About the Role
We're seeking a strategic and commercially minded Director of Product to lead the vision, growth, and performance of our US-focused compliance offering (Adaptive Compliance). This is one of our most valuable revenue lines—encompassing adaptive content, intelligent authoring, actionable data, and a growing portfolio of emerging products and acquisitions.
In this high-impact role, you'll shape the future of our Compliance business—ensuring it remains differentiated, high-performing, and deeply aligned with the needs of Compliance buyers across regulated industries. You’ll work cross-functionally across product, engineering, sales, marketing, customer experience, and executive leadership to deliver measurable impact. The role will require a strong connection with US customer expectations, language, and regulation.
Location: Flexible within the USA (Eastern timezone). Candidates must have eligibility to work without the requirement of visa sponsorship by Learning Pool.
What you will be doing
Roles & responsibilities include:
Strategy & Vision
- Define and evolve the long-term strategy and roadmap for Adaptive Compliance spanning content, authoring, data, and extensibility into adjacent products or acquisitions. This will be in close collaboration with our Chief Compliance Officer and SME team as a strategic lead in decision-making, positioning, and roadmap prioritization.
- Translate this strategy into measurable outcomes that reflect both buyer needs and business value.
- Work closely with our Compliance leadership and SMEs to ensure the product reflects emerging trends in ethical culture, behavioral analytics, and ESG-aligned governance and to ensure good understanding of regulatory, buyer, and market shifts.
- Work closely with the Chief Product Officer to define the overall product portfolio strategy and contribute to shaping company-wide priorities.
- Collaborate with fellow product leaders to ensure coherence across the portfolio aligning on experience design, user journeys, and shared capabilities to deliver a consistent and high-quality experience for our customers.
- You may also be asked to represent the product function within the Senior Leadership Team, as needed.
Leadership & Execution
- Lead the cross-functional product team responsible for Adaptive Compliance working closely with engineering, content, data, and design.
- Collaborate closely with LX Directors to align on matrixed ownership of content design and production ensuring shared goals, efficient workflows, and clear accountability across functions.
- Own the business case, budget, and delivery outcomes for the portfolio.
- Own and evolve the Adaptive Compliance narrative to reflect market shifts, buyer behavior, and product evolution.
- Maintain clear visibility of progress, risk, and dependencies; ensure strong collaboration across technical and go-to-market teams.
Go-to-Market & Customer Success
- Partner with commercial and marketing teams to refine messaging, pricing, and sales enablement for Compliance buyers.
- In collaborating with the Compliance team, act as a visible subject matter expert in key opportunities and industry conversations helping shape how our solutions meet the practical needs of compliance leaders.
- Ground product and content strategy in a deep understanding of compliance buyers’ constraints, objections, and decision-making framework
- Ensure the sales and CX teams are equipped with compelling stories, demos, and proof points for US clients.
Growth & Corporate Development
- Play a key role in identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities that expand our compliance capabilities whether through content, tech, data, or market access.
- Partner with the CPO and M&A leads to assess product fit, technical integration, and commercial upside.
- Lead post-acquisition product integration where relevant ensuring cohesion across the compliance portfolio.
Stakeholder Influence
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership and investors on product performance, pipeline, and strategic priorities.
- Build strong relationships across the business to align investment, navigate trade-offs, and drive adoption of adaptive compliance thinking.
- Stay current on regulatory trends, adaptive technologies, and the evolving compliance landscape bringing external insight into our internal strategy.
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Domain & Market Expertise: You will have extensive product leadership experience in regulated sectors, compliance technology, or learning/data platforms, alongside a deep understanding of the US compliance buyer with direct experience shaping or selling solutions in this market.
- Proven track record: You will have a demonstrated history of delivering commercially successful products for B2B buyers, with measurable impact on revenue, adoption, and retention.
- Platform & Methodology Expertise: You will possess deep expertise in adaptive learning methodologies, data-driven product development practices, and scalable content platform architectures.
- Cross-functional leadership: You will have led and inspired multi-disciplinary teams engineering, design, content, sales, and customer success driving alignment, influencing executive decision-making, and removing roadblocks to delivery.
- Commercial fluency: You will be adept at shaping robust business cases, evaluating and structuring strategic partnerships, and contributing confidently to acquisition and M&A strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills: You will be able to craft and deliver tailored narratives whether technical deep-dives, commercial pitches, or regulatory briefings that resonate with technical, commercial, and compliance audiences alike.
- Travel readiness: You will have the willingness and ability to travel regularly to the US to gather customer insights, support go-to-market activities, and strengthen strategic partnerships.
