THE OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking a Director of Product Strategy, STEM Education to lead the development and execution of product strategy for STEM education solutions. This role will oversee Realityworks CTE STEM products and all STEM products under the BirdBrain Technologies brand. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, align product development with market needs, and ensure a competitive position in the education sector.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role will be part of the Realityworks team while also supporting the BirdBrain Technologies brand. The ideal candidate will work across both brands to:
  • Develop and implement product strategies that align with organizational goals and market trends in STEM education
  • Lead market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities
  • Define and prioritize product roadmaps to enhance portfolio offerings and address gaps
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers, educators, and industry experts to create impactful STEM learning solutions
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and educator success teams to ensure product-market fit and effective go-to-market strategies
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-market evaluation
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, fostering innovation and collaboration
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including educators, policymakers, and industry leaders, to shape product strategy and advocacy efforts
 
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in product strategy or product management within the education sector
  • Strong background in brand management and experience managing multiple products
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving product innovation
  • Proficient in market analysis and capable of translating insights into actionable product strategies with experience using data tool such as NetSuite and PowerBI
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience working with educational technology, instructional materials, or STEM programs
  • Experience working with K-12 or higher education institutions
  • Familiarity with grant funding, government programs, and STEM advocacy initiatives
  • Background in a rapidly scaling company or educational technology
  • Experience with curriculum development
 
WORK LOCATION: Realityworks and BirdBrain Technologies are headquartered in Eau Claire, WI. This is a fully remote position, but in-office presence is required at least every other month.
 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional travel required for trade shows, customer engagement, and industry events.
