E-Learning Developer
The Team You Will Be Joining
Always at the ready, this agency is responsible for providing millions of Texans with services ranging from Medicaid for children to SNAP food benefits to behavioral health services every year. They do substantial work in accommodating the long-term needs of older Texans by ensuring the safety and dignity of people who live in nursing homes or assisted living facilities, finding independent housing and jobs for Texans with disabilities, and leading medical research projects on infectious diseases.
Major Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive, engaging, and innovative eLearning curricula and instructional technology for HHS employees.
- Utilize various instructional design methodologies and eLearning software to create high-quality content, including videos, simulations, gamification, animation, and other multimedia outputs.
- Oversee all aspects of the instructional design process, including project scope, course development, and deployment, ensuring compliance with Learning Systems and Design policies and procedures.
- Stay current on modern adult learning principles, trends, and best practices, collaborating with team members and key stakeholders while working under limited supervision.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
- Proficiency in eLearning software tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc.) and learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong graphic design skills and experience with video production and editing.
- In-depth understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (ADDIE, Dick and Carey).
Exciting Opportunity Details
- Rate: $40.00 per hour
- Length of Engagement: Immediately - 6 months
- Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
- Location: Remote (Texas residency required)
