Description

This position will be employed through Headway consulting firm working remotely throughout the US.

The Financial Analyst contractor supports the finance team with various forms of financial analysis. The Financial Analyst applies strong finance and analytical skills in business finance partnership, FP&A, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare sales reporting and analysis, as well as validating, processing, and coordinating inquiries into 3rd Party Digital Sales reporting.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly flash report which includes analysis of sales, expenses and operating income, and variances to Budget, Forecast and prior year.
  • Prepare reclasses and accruals as part of month-end close process.

Required Skills / Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated expertise in Excel, pivot table, vlookup, Powerpoint, Google Sheets, Google Slides
  • Experience performing quantitative analysis
  • Experience ensuring data accuracy and deliverables on time
  • Experience communicating complex financial and process information verbally and in writing to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated drive to learn more and solve problems in detail
  • Experience with SAP, Cognos, PowerBI (preferable) 

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or business

Pay Rate:  $30/hour

Hours: 20-25 hours per week 

Assignment Date: January 2025 - April 2025 ( with possibility of extension)

Location: Boston, MA or New York City, NY with a requirement of at least one day in the office per week. Candidates in these areas are preferred.
