Job Summary and Description:

As an Instructional and Learning Design Specialist II at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), you will be instrumental in developing and implementing innovative training programs. Your role will involve leveraging your growing expertise in project management, your instructional design skills, and your development expertise to create impactful learning experiences. You will work with research and design teams to translate the latest EPRI findings into effective training solutions. Your contributions will ensure that our employees and members are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles. Responsibilities
•Transform Knowledge into Learning
•Apply principles of cognitive science and adult learning to create solutions that enhance motivation and knowledge retention.
•Apply design thinking and rapid prototyping to develop innovative learning solutions.
•Lead end-to-end, instructional design process-based methodology (analysis, design, development, evaluation) to create training for technical and non-technical training including: 
•Define and articulate clear learning and behavioral outcomes.
•Design blueprints, wireframes, storyboards, and mock-ups for learning solutions.
•Select and align training delivery modality and media with desired outcomes.
•Use classroom learning, blended learning, and eLearning to meet different educational needs.
•Create self-assessments, training manuals, job aids, and visual aids that support learning objectives.
•Evaluate the impact of learning and talent development solutions using qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
•Follow and provide input into EPRI's Training and Learning Design Conduct of Learning Process.
Stakeholder Engagement
•Gather and integrate knowledge from experts to enhance learning content.
•Build and sustains relationships with stakeholders.
•Coordinate reviews with stakeholder and gain agreement how to incorporate feedback.

Project Management and Execution
•Apply project management methodologies.
•Work on multiple simple courses or projects.
•Work with and monitor contractors that perform development tasks and provide feedback on development.
•Completed tasks are reviewed from a short-term perspective. 
Learning Principles and Technologies 
•Understand and apply best practices.

•Skill in organizing and synthesizing information from multiple sources. 
•Utilize e-learning software and tools to support the design and development of learning
•Knowledgeable of project management methodologies
•Identifies new areas for one’s own learning
•Expertise with Articulate 360 or similar
•Familiarity with curriculum development and course design software such as: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Descript, Well Said, WebEx or similar

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field OR Industry Relevant Certifications.
•Years of Experience 5 to 10 years
•Experience in the electric power industry, energy industry, or other relevant technical industries (preferred)

The salary range for this position is $110,000 USD to $133,500 USD annually.

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.

This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s standard employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision, 401k, STD/LTD and paid family leave, life and accident insurance, paid time off (flexible vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay).

EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
