We're seeking an Instructional Design Specialist to work with subject matter experts to design, develop and deploy e-learning courseware content for self-paced learning modules delivered electronically.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Converts presentations and classroom based learning to e-Learning and blended learning formats.
  • Performs quality testing on courseware distributed via the LMS.
  • Works with end users to gather feedback and enhancement requests for e-Learning modules and the LMS.
  • Provides first line support to end users of the LMS and web-based training modules.
  • Implements training programs which support the Vision, Mission, and Values of Emory Healthcare.
  • Supports other training to support ablended learning approach.
  • Conducts all sessions in accordance with IACET guidelines for those requesting CEU's.
  • Participates on the E-learning Governance Committee.

Learning Assessment and Validation:
  • Creation of summative and formative knowledge-checks and post-class evaluations.
Adult Learning Principles:
  • Developing content in accordance with Instructional System Design best practices, Androgogy, Heutagogy, Media design principles.
E-Learning Development:
  • End-to-end technical writing, digital creation, and evaluation of net-new content including outline, scripting and storyboarding, interactivity, voice-over, etc.
Design Tools experience:
  • Instructional Design: Captivate, Snagit, Canva, Vyond, uPerform, Brainier (LMS)
  • Graphics and Design: Vyond, Canva, SharePoint, Figma
  • Other Tech Stack: ServiceNow, OnePlan, Microsoft365 Suite

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; three years experience in e-learning and blended learning development.
  • Seasoned experience with learning management systems is required.
  • Healthcare experience a plus.
