Position Summary:
This position works with instructors and educational technologists to design and develop online courses (for-credit and non-credit/continuing education) for the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, ensuring high quality course materials are created and courses fulfill their objectives while providing a quality student experience. This is accomplished through the application of evidence-based pedagogy, knowledge of educational technology tools and systems, and effective implementation of project management practices.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Education/Instructional Design/Technology
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree related to learning/instructional design/technology
Required Experience:
3+ years ed-tech work experience with Bachelor's Degree 1+ years ed-tech work experience with Master's Degree
Preferred Experience:
2+ years with technology-enhanced courses and programs
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Demonstrated project management experience • Demonstrated understanding of educational pedagogy, particularly in relation to online teaching and learning Ability to analyze and solve problems with innovative, creative solutions.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with User Experience design trends and best practices; familiarity with design thinking practices; experience with data analysis and data visualization tools. Experience working with Learning Management Systems and instructional modules/media. Experience with prototyping and designing product experiments. Experience with graphic design and communication design strongly preferred.
Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
