Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
• Analyzes training needs, develops and administers training plans and procedures, prepares training materials and conducts special
courses to ensure appropriate levels of training for team members, providers, students, and vendors.
• Demonstrates above average use and knowledge of technological capabilities for media design, development, programming, and
advanced image editing for E-Learning projects.
• Uses commercial software, including authoring and animation programs, to develop interactive courseware and computer assisted
instructional materials.
• Uses authoring tools, graphic design tools, and scripting languages in the design, creation, deployment, and maintenance of ELearning applications.
• Ensures that end users interact with systems in the manner in which they were trained and educated. Recognizes deviation from
standard use and educates staff.
• Understands classroom scheduling and training class set-up process.
• Instructs required training classes.
• Reviews class materials to enhance or modify classes.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and professional appearance at all times.
• Effectively communicates with customers and guests.
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of subject matter.
• Responsible for coordinating education in-services for IT/CE systems use.
• Develops additional training programs based on organizational needs.
• Mastery of multiple separate training programs and applications for assigned segment.
• Maintains records of training activities and employee progress and monitors effectiveness of programs.
• Conduct train-the-trainer programs for IT/CE Systems Educators.
• Communicate and manager the Super User network for systems within assigned segment including updates related to enhancements
and system upgrades.
• Acts as a mentor for IT/CE Learning team members.
• Applies adult education principles to the overall program framework and materials used for systems education.
• Documents and tracks the outcome of educational endeavors.
• Participates as a learning program planner for system wide IT/CE implementation projects.
• Fosters an attitude related to the benefit and opportunities of lifelong learning.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
Participates and/or leads multiple training projects.
Maintains contact with other organizations, training organizations and associations for the purpose of keeping abreast of new
training developments and courses.
Recommends changes in methods and procedures. Participates in meetings with customers to gather, convey or exchange
routine information.
Visits and observes job functions within operational areas as applicable for training needs.
Completes all Orlando Health mandatory education.
Initiates process improvement opportunities.
Proficient in the use of office, audio/video and classroom equipment.
Completes assignments in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree required. Associate’s degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s
degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
Licensure/Certification
None.
Experience
- Perioperative knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in education required.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
