The IT Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the system administration team, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and providing technical leadership to the team. Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the IT Director.
Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $102,773 and $135,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
Location: In this US-based position, you will have a hybrid work schedule, with time split between remote work and our office in Tempe, AZ

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Manage and lead the system administration team, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee the administration of servers, workstations, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, desk phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
- Ensure extensive understanding and management of Active Directory (AD), especially within Azure environments.
- Oversee O365 administration and ensure optimal performance.
- Implement AI governance strategies to ensure compliance, ethical AI deployment, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to ensure secure authentication, authorization, and access control across the organization.
- Maintain solid working knowledge of Networking/WAP (CCNA or Network+ certification a plus).
- Supervise Okta administration and ensure effective deployment and management.
- Provide strong technical understanding and oversight of Exchange Online.
- Ensure meticulous attention to detail when planning future implementations and integrations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for system upgrades and improvements.
- Assist with network and system security maintenance, ensuring robust security measures are in place.
- Evaluate and modify system performance to meet organizational needs.
- Identify and anticipate user needs, ensuring proactive support and solutions.
- Assign and manage configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
- Promote knowledge sharing and act as a mentor to junior-level team members.
- Other duties as required.
Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical major, such as engineering, computer science, or a related field and 6-8 years of system administration experience in large enterprise systems; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Azure certification (AWS a plus).
- ITIL and/or other leading IT industry certifications.
- 3-5 years of experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket).
- Scripting/automation experience via Powershell.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Experience with InTune, MobileIron, or other MDM solutions.
- Experience with administering Zendesk, Atlassian, Box, and other cloud-based services.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate issues, and mentor others.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Extensive knowledge of operating systems and applications, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong willingness to document processes and solutions.
- Ability to work well under pressure with multiple demands.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong grasp of computer security principles and practices
