Learning and Development Specialist to contribute to our
People team located in
Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a hybrid role that includes a combination of in-office days and remote work.

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll take on a pivotal role in creating, coordinating, and delivering impactful learning initiatives. Beyond that, this exciting position allows you to contribute to essential HR functions such as talent management, employee engagement, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:
Learning and Development Support:
- Assist in the planning, development, and delivery of learning and training programs.
- Coordinate training logistics including scheduling, materials preparation, and communications with participants.
- Help maintain and update training content, ensuring it remains aligned with company goals and best practices.
HR Support and Talent Development:
- Collaborate with HR on key initiatives including onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
- Support the talent management process by identifying key competencies and skills gaps across departments.
- Assist in creating development plans for employees, focusing on individual growth and career advancement.
Training Facilitation and Delivery:
- Facilitate or co-facilitate workshops, training sessions, and webinars as needed.
- Provide administrative support during training sessions, ensuring smooth execution and a positive experience for participants.
- Manage feedback collection, analyze learning outcomes, and make recommendations for improvements.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
- Administer and manage the company’s LMS, including tracking employee progress, generating reports, and troubleshooting issues.
- Ensure that all training data is accurately entered and kept up to date within the system.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
- Work closely with HR and department leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Support the creation of metrics to assess training outcomes and employee performance improvements.
- Use data and feedback to suggest enhancements to existing programs or propose new learning initiatives.
Employee Engagement and Communication:
- Act as a point of contact for employees seeking professional development opportunities.
- Promote learning and development initiatives through effective communication campaigns, newsletters, and internal portals.
- Assist in fostering a culture of continuous learning by encouraging employees to participate in development programs.
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in learning and development, human resources, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and best practices, including performance management and talent development.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Salary Range: $58,500 to $71,500
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Learning and Development (CPLP, CPTM, etc.) or related HR certification (PHR, SPHR).
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and talent management software.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
