Fieldpiece is hiring an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing training programs, creating curriculums, developing and delivering engaging training, and assessing results. Reporting to the CHRO, this role will help drive organizational growth by enhancing workforce capabilities and aligning training initiatives with business objectives.

While we prefer the L&D Specialist to be located near Orange, CA, you can work from our Kamas, UT office as well.  If you’re in Utah, then additional travel will be required to CA.  We’re currently expecting 10-15% travel.

What You’ll Do
  • Create and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to organizational needs.
  • Design engaging, effective training content using tools like Adobe Captivate and Articulate for e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning approaches.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, webinars and on-the-job training for employees across the organization.
  • Adapt delivery methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Utilize analytics to measure training effectiveness, knowledge retention, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to reinforce learning outcomes.
  • Design and implement competency models in collaboration with frameworks such as Korn Ferry, Hogan, and Myers-Briggs.
  • Facilitate competency-based learning and career development plans.
  • Leverage Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms to manage training programs, track employee progress, and report outcomes.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in learning and development, training design, content development and delivery.
  • Proficiency in using HCM platforms and e-learning tools such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate.
  • Certifications in Korn Ferry, Hogan, Myers-Briggs, or similar competency frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and facilitation abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with other psychometric tools and frameworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM is preferred.

The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $ plus bonus.  Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
