Your Role
The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for facilitating engaging instructor-led learning experiences. You will leverage core concepts in adult learning theory and facilitation paired with emerging trends and technologies to create effective learning experiences for all team members. You will work on standard to moderately complex instructor-led design projects, focusing on creating impactful and innovative learning solutions that align with our overall strategy. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our learning and development initiatives, helping build a knowledgeable and skilled workforce that drives our organization’s growth and innovation. By utilizing data analytics and feedback loops, you will continuously refine and enhance our facilitated learning solutions, driving ongoing improvement and effectiveness.
 
Primary Functions of the Learning and Development Specialist Include:
  • Facilitate highly engaging and interactive learning sessions.
  • Develop and maintain effective facilitator guides to support consistency and effectiveness across the learning team.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) team, operational leadership and subject matter experts to ensure learning solutions meet the needs of the organization and deliver measurable objectives.
  • Support the development and maintenance of facilitation tools including PowerPoint decks, activities, videos, etc.
  • Leverage emerging technologies and methodologies in conjunction with key facilitation principals to ensure successful outcomes for learning interventions.
  • Maintain and update our learning content library to ensure quality and integrity.
  • Complete learning request intake analysis for standard to moderately complex projects.
  • Stay up to date on all facilitation best practices and emerging trends and technologies to incorporate into our learning practice.
  • Support facilitated course assignment, attendance tracking and reporting within the learning management system (LMS).
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, industrial psychology, education, or adult learning or at least four years of experience in adult learning, employee development, training facilitation or a related field
  • Three years of facilitation or training experience; health care setting required; clinical licensure, preferred
  • Technology Skills: proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Communication Skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Project Management Skills: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
  • Adaptability: flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Problem Solving Skills: strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find effective solutions in instructional design
  • Attention to Detail: meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all learning materials.
  • Creativity and Innovation: ability to think outside the box to develop unique and engaging learning solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory.
 
The base pay range for this role is $69,600.00 - $80,000.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
