We're looking for a Learning & Engagement Coordinator!
What you'll be doing:
The Learning & Engagement Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Learning & Engagement Department for all organization funded and station education initiatives, manage BTPM's PBS LearningMedia presence, and assistance with virtual, in-studio, and community education events. This individual will also coordinate project related materials to distribute to community organizations and schools. This position can be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work. In summary, this individual will:
- Manage station content for PBS LearningMedia
- Create original educational content, plans and resources related to projects as assigned to be used on various platforms for various target audiences and age levels
- Support educational and community outreach events
- May independently organize, schedule and facilitate workshops/seminars as assigned
- Assist in the cultivation and development of educational community partnerships and initiatives
- Assist in coordinating activities of the Community Advisory Board, Educational Services Committee and any other education advisory groups the station convenes
- Provide administrative support to Learning and Engagement, including handling meeting hospitality and materials
What you'll need:
- Minimum of associate degree in English, Education, Urban Studies, Social Work, Community Development or related field or equivalent two (2) years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in education/teaching or related community outreach; non-profit setting a plus
- Strong presentation skills and familiarity interacting with various ages, audiences, learning levels and backgrounds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with curriculum writing a plus
- Knowledge of current educational technology practices and digital education resources
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) preferred
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar programs preferred

Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position and starting pay will be based on education, experience and interview. Starting range: $15.98 to $19.97/hr.
