Learning Technology Specialist Full Description

The Information Technology team at Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Learning Technology Specialist working 100% virtual/remote in a firm approved U.S state as part of the “Gideon” office or a hybrid schedule in our Chicago, Denver, Houston, New York, or Washington, D.C. office. The primary function of the Learning Technology Specialist is to integrate the existing learning management system (LMS) and upcoming digital adoption platform (DAP) into the day-to-day activities of the firm.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the LMS, ensuring the system runs smoothly, updating content, fixing technical issues, and identifying ways to improve it.
Adding new learning objects to the LMS by managing new courses, classes, and resources.
Identifying additional internal uses of the LMS and facilitating the onboarding of them. 
Creating and training on reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
Providing technical support and training to trainers, end-users, and other support teams on the LMS.
Overseeing the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the DAP along with creating the appropriate governance and standards guidelines. 
Acting as internal subject matter expert (SME) and practitioner for DAP element design and programming.
Monitoring platform usage and analyzing data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for increased adoption.
Supporting the IT Training team in effectively using the DAP.
Acting as the primary liaison with the administrative teams with high DAP utilization, providing design and analytic support along with programming suggestions.
Designing and implementing a program for practice groups to use the DAP for process and knowledge retention.
Developing and tracking metrics to show our progression in the maturity curve and tracking value to the organization.
Creating a strategy to leverage analytics on programs before we apply the DAP user-facing elements to identify friction points and priority use cases.
Developing a formal DAP community of practice, including IT Training and the other departments that are leveraging the DAP. 
Collecting and incorporating user feedback to continuously improve the platform and its usage.
Creating new learning objects for end-user consumption using Articulate 360 products. 
Participating in the team’s ADDIE process for new learning objects.
Occasionally facilitating identified instructor-led or train-the-trainers courses.

Qualifications
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum five (5) years of experience administering LMSs and a minimum of two (2) years of experience deploying DAP solutions.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency in LMS use and management and DAP use, facilitation, and management.
Experience with SABA and Cornerstone LMS systems preferred.
Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

As a nonexempt position, this position is eligible for overtime.

The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually.
