ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Manager, Career Success at Fullstack Academy, you will lead the Career Coaching program for our students and alumni. You’ll lead a team of Career Success Coaches as they serve students across our portfolio of programs. You’ll curate the creation of content on various job-search topics to make sure our students are prepared and feel comfortable and confident to face the tech recruiting process. You’ll track alum progress and follow up to ensure that we deliver exceptional outcomes for ever-growing numbers of students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Career Coaching program, including staffing of core and university cohorts
  • Support a portfolio of full-time and part-time students and eventually alumni, ultimately owning their successful job placement
  • Guide the creation of content, resources and programming for students to ensure they are ready for their new careers as professionals.
  • Hire, onboard, and manage a team of full-time and part-time career Coaches as they execute our career success programming for students; provide ongoing team development.
  • Help to set and manage performance goals for coaches, proactively monitor resourcing for programs, and iterate on the coaching process to improve student outcomes.
  • Share key metrics on hiring partners, placement rate, time to placement, and adherence to Career Success policies and procedures, in partnership with the Director and Senior Manager of Career Success, who will provide input on key metrics to track.
  • Manage and improve operational processes i.e. accountability for students on the job search, caseload check-ins, and handling of at-risk students
  • Collaborate with Program/Student Success Managers to scale and improve coaching program operations.
  • Stay on top of hiring and industry trends, and continuously develop our Career Success curriculum to ensure that students are equipped to land their dream jobs.

QUALIFICATIONS

You’re a great candidate if you have:

  • 4-5 years experience in a combination of agency or programmatic recruiting, working in HR, or career services/coaching function.
  • A deep understanding of the goals, processes, and nuances of Tech Recruiting
  • The ability to conceptualize and design systems and processes that can meet our placement goals at scale, such as communication automation, databases, dashboards, etc.
  • A data-driven approach to identifying, targeting and driving action on challenges
  • Experience leading a team
  • A passion for mentoring others to succeed
  • Infectious positive energy paired with remarkable empathy
  • A passion for creating positive outcomes in people’s lives through education

You’re an exceptional candidate if you also have:

  • Experience with the processes and nuances of the Education industry and recruiting trends
  • Worked at early-stage, fast-growing organizations
  • Been involved in hiring graduates from top immersive education programs (coding bootcamps, data science bootcamps, etc.)

COMPENSATION: $80,000 annually along with a 10% incentive, commensurate with experience.
