The Manager, Curriculum & Content, Healthcare, Undergraduate Nursing leads the development and revision of key content and curriculum development projects to create high-quality nursing products that align with customer expectations and learning science principles. They manage teams to ensure timely project completion, address obstacles, and establish documented processes for long-term success. The manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, primarily content and product operations, to ensure undergraduate nursing products are delivered in a timely manner, meet high quality standards, adhere to accreditation standards, and maintain a focus on student success.  

Primary/Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Management: Manage, direct, and support content team members by planning, organizing, and reviewing project-specific tasks to ensure accountability, productivity, and efficiency. Provide mentorship and oversee team performance through active engagement and evaluation.
  • Content and Curriculum Development: Lead the creation and revision of nursing content and curriculum products that meet national standards (e.g., NCSBN) and utilize evidence-based pedagogical practices to ensure alignment with academic and industry benchmarks.
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Mitigation: Facilitate collaboration with product and content operations, including ticket system technology, to drive curriculum innovation and ensure successful content development. Conduct thorough quality assurance processes, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), periodic content reviews, and errata exploration. Mitigate risks through collaboration with Kaplan India for proactive copyright investigations and academic integrity safeguards to protect Kaplan's intellectual property. Lead copyright infringement responsibilities with Kaplan India.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline content development processes. Actively monitor team activities, including approving Workday time entries, to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Customer Support: Provide timely and effective customer support during high-demand periods by addressing tickets, responding to inquiries, and prioritizing work requests. Maintain active communication in project-specific and team chat spaces.

Education & Experience
  • Masters (MS or MSN) from accredited institution (required) One degree must be in Nursing.
  • Active, unencumbered nursing license
  • 2 years nursing education and content development
  • Considerable knowledge of current literature, research, trends, and developments in the design and development of nursing education/products.
  • Excellent computer and presentation skills. Must have experience using shared spaces such as Microsoft office, Google suites, and other technologies and software.  
  • Open-minded team player with a positive attitude, sense of humor, energy, and dedication to collaborate and learn new systems/platforms/processes for authoring/reporting. 
  • Understanding and ability to provide training and assistance to internal team members with content development, platform/software usage and navigation of Kaplan sites. 
  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills for effective oral and written communication. Including the ability to develop/implement policy and procedures.
  • Ability to provide leadership and to supervise the planning, development and establishment of new, modified and/or improved projects. Including goal setting, research, data analysis, promotion, scoping, and independently prioritizing toward a deadline.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty/Certification (in nursing, instructional design, leadership, project management, simulations, generative AI content development and/or education).

For full-time positions, Kaplan has two Salary Grades, this position is a Salary Grade B: $64,000 - $202,600. Actual compensation for this role is determined by several factors including but not limited to job level, candidate's skills, experience, and education, among other factors determined by the business.
