Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of three scale-up businesses within our enterprise skills division. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance for Workforce Skills, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the overall objectives of the enterprise skills division.
- Partner with the Finance Director to support the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Identify and propose scalable financial processes to support digital subscription and enterprise billing and revenue recognition. Experience with metrics and strategies to ensure capital-efficient growth.
Financial Management and Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including management reports.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed. Especially around key SaaS metrics such as ARR, NRR, LTV and CAC. Demonstrated experience in financial management within an enterprise SaaS environment.
Business Partnering
- Act as a key business partner to the Finance Director for the three scale-up businesses, providing financial guidance and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Support investment decisions and assess project accounting capitalization.
Risk Management and Controls
- Maintain robust financial controls and processes to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Operations Management
- Integrate financial and operational strategies to drive overall business performance.
- Implementing and driving best practices around financial management tools for reporting, analytics, and forecasting
- Implement automation and AI tools to streamline financial operations and improve accuracy
- Work closely with operations teams to identify and execute on opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA/ACA/ACCA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role within a multinational corporation.
- Interest in improving financial operations for scale-up or high-growth businesses.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in financial management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of diverse range of finance areas: financial control. Process optimization, finance transformation, tax, treasury, M&A, compliance, corporate governance, and ability to use that knowledge to proactively mitigate organizational risk
- Experience in the enterprise skills or technology sector is a plus.
Salary range is between 140k -150k annually as base pay.
