Job Summary | This is an ONSITE position that will require on-call responsibilities.
The IT Manager is a dynamic and proactive leader, responsible for overseeing comprehensive IT projects, clients, and team members. The incumbent must be highly organized, adept in managing IT systems, have systems administration experience and be familiar with network concepts and configurations. This role requires the ability to train staff in new technologies, manage HR processes such as hiring and on boarding, supporting departmental projects, and creating support documentation. The incumbent must be well-versed in IT best practices, MDM solutions, and ITIL processes. Additionally, the IT Manager is expected to build client relationships, maintain a friendly demeanor, and collaborate with leadership to enhance support for the broader university community.
Responsibilities | · Assist department leadership in all aspects of department operations.
· Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies and goals that support the organization and individual department IT needs.
· Manage IT staff for HR processes such as: recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, holding staff accountable and appraising performance.
· Plan, organize, control, evaluate, assist, and oversee implementation of IT projects by developing, managing and acting as a systems administrator/engineer resource as needed.
· Ensure staff are utilizing standard processes and information systems to improve services and efficiencies.
· Maintain and audit equipment inventories for all clientele, including procurement and tracking processes.
· Manage yearly agreements or contracts for computer support of individual departments.
· Write technical and how-to documentation for staff projects and organize/manage the knowledge base.
· Manage and support the department’s MDM solutions.
· Position requires travel on and off campus using personal vehicle.
· Expected to be part of an on-call rotation and be available outside of normal business hours for client or staff needs.

Minimum Qualifications | Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferences | • Project management experience.
• Microsoft workstation and server with SCCM setup, configuration and maintenance experience.
• Use and/or knowledge of automation software solutions.
• Mac OS with Jamf management and configuration experience.
• Networking experience.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• A+, MCSE, CCNA, Network+, or other applicable certifications.
