Job Profile Summary
The Learning & Development Content Manager at ONEOK is a key role reporting to the Employee & Leadership Development Director. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-quality learning and development (L&D) content that aligns with ONEOK's overall L&D strategy, leadership development programs, and employee development initiatives through:
Content Design and Development: This position is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-quality learning and development (L&D) content that aligns with ONEOK's overall L&D strategy, leadership development programs, and employee development initiatives.
Collaboration, Partnership, and Program Alignment: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement leadership and employee development programs that align with organizational strategies and priorities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The Learning & Development Content Manager will align with and uphold the following
HR capabilities:
- Content Design & Development
- Design and develop high-quality content that is innovative, impactful, and relevant to the audience and purpose that supports the organization’s leadership and employee development needs.
- Maintain attention to detail, editing and proofreading for accuracy, designing and optimizing content for different formats and modalities, testing and evaluating for effectiveness and usability.
- Align content with the company’s L&D strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of diverse audiences across the organization.
- Leverage multiple modalities (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning, and hybrid formats) to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Leadership Development Programs
- Collaborate with the Employee & Leadership Development Director to create and enhance leadership development programs that cultivate leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Ensure leadership development initiatives are aligned with ONEOK’s strategic goals and support the growth of a strong leadership pipeline.
- Incorporate feedback and analytics to continuously improve leadership programs.
- Employee Development Initiatives
- Develop content and tools to support employee development programs, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify skill gaps and design solutions to address them effectively.
- Collaborate with HR team members to integrate development initiatives into broader talent strategies.
- Collaboration and Partnership
- Partner closely with HR, business leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure content aligns with organizational needs and priorities.
- Collaborate with external vendors, as needed, to curate or customize learning content.
- Maintain a strong partnership with HRIS and HRIT to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of digital learning platforms.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating them into content design.
- Use data and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of L&D initiatives and make continuous improvements.
- Foster a culture of innovation by piloting new approaches and technologies in learning design and delivery (i.e.; simulations, AI, gamification).
The Learning & Development Content Manager must exhibit strong leadership, promoting strategic alignment, building relationships and collaboration.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on learning content that addresses key challenges and opportunities.
- Promote collaboration and partnership across teams to drive the success of L&D initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field.
Work Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a related field.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing leadership and employee development programs.
- Experience working with digital learning tools.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve results.
- Familiarity with best practices and trends in leadership and employee development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skills in: strong instructional design and content development skills, including experience with adult learning principles.
- Skills in: leveraging e-learning platforms, virtual tools, and multimedia to create impactful content.
- Skills in: project management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
- Ability to: communicate and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to: analyze learning data and metrics to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to: write clear and compelling content, research and evaluate data from various sources, interpret metrics and feedback, generate and execute creative ideas for content topics
- Ability to: use various tools and software for editing and publishing content, communicate effectively with different roles and stakeholders, and organize multiple projects within deadlines.
Licenses and Certifications
- None required Advanced certifications in instructional design, learning technologies, or leadership development (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-CP/SCP) are preferred.
