What we do
Founded in 2015, ReUp Education is the only organization that focuses exclusively on helping colleges and universities engage and re-enroll the more than 40 million US residents who have “stopped out” and support them until graduation, through our technology-enabled service. To date, we have re-enrolled nearly 28,500 students and recaptured over $139 million in tuition for our university partners. Today we build regional marketplaces to connect the supply of educational opportunities with the demand for skilled and credentialed workforce professionals.

About the role
We are looking for an executive-level account management leader to join ReUp as our Managing Director Government Partnerships. In this role, you will be the client-facing lead and manage how we bring resources to each statewide expansion and renewal opportunity. You will create and document a repeatable process to secure long-term partnerships that expand ReUp’s scope of impact and revenue results. This will include both direct and matrixed management of client-facing, and service delivery teams.

Our ideal candidate is excited to commit their enterprise account skills to help ReUp grow market share among states. We build transformative experiences that guide students back to Higher Education Institutions or Alternative Education Providers, which turn eligible learners into credentialed eligible employees with in-demand skills that employers need. You must possess the ability to identify, qualify, and continually assess enterprise account opportunities and take ownership of their overall health, continuation, and expansion. This fully remote position reports directly to our Chief Strategy Officer.

What you'll do

Strategy and  Relationship Building
  • Cultivate relationships with state political, education, and agency leaders, as well as internal teams
  • Utilize data to develop and deliver insights and recommendations
  • Assess the stage and dynamics of external and internal factors in order to  develop strategies for renewal and expansion opportunities
  • Inform and collaborate with the Sales, Operations, Data, Finance, and Partner Success teams
  • Develop strategic insights that contribute to a repeatable process and playbook

Enterprise Account Management
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities with state and local governments
  • Recommend appropriate resource allocation at the opportunity and support team levels
  • Be accountable for progress at every stage of the renewal process 
  • Identify and cultivate resources required by stage and opportunity 
  • Develop and present proposals including scope, pricing, and impact

  • Established track record in enterprise account management and/or management consulting with experience  in state & local government
    • State agency experience in Higher Education or Workforce is  a plus
    • Success in designing and leading strategies in public sector account management, particularly in state agency contract renewal in the workforce development and education contexts
  • 4+ years experience cultivating relationships with executive stakeholders, including legislators, government agency executives
  • 4+ years experience cultivating relationships with universities to support and advance the organization's mission
  • 4+ years in growing enterprise accounts
  • You are experienced in shaping competitive pricing strategies for a ingovernmental agency contract, a plus
  • Excellent persuasive writing and editing skills, including account management and proposals for large, complex initiatives
  • Ability to proactively identify and strategically assess growth and renewal opportunities
  • You bring a process and systems improvement orientation to your work
  • You can work creatively and analytically to balance multiple priorities, tasks, and sophisticated issues using logical and efficient processes
  • You can function effectively as a high-level individual contributor who can also manage a project team
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Workplace and/or Microsoft Suite required, advanced proficiency preferred
  • You are comfortable with ~25% travel
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree
