Math Curriculum Developer Full Description

We seek curriculum developers to join our team and help us shape innovative and engaging mathematical learning opportunities for motivated students in elementary, middle, and high school. 

We are looking for candidates to help us advance our Math Curriculum by:
  • Creating lessons, games, and puzzles to update and improve our existing in-person AoPS Academy math classes 
  • Developing new classes for our AoPS Academy math students
  • Creating exciting math contests for Academy students across the nation
  • Communicating with teachers and AoPS Academy directors about their classrooms and using their feedback to improve existing lessons
  • Teaching math classes at one of our AoPS Academy locations to remain connected to our students and our classrooms
  • Creating resources for professional development for teachers at our Academies

  • You’ve built a passion for math through teaching or doing mathematics, and are eager to share this with motivated students.
  • You’re excited about helping students grapple with and enrich their understanding of mathematical ideas through creating cognitively demanding math tasks.
  • You have experience working with K-12 math students, and you enjoyed your experience.
  • You have a strong mathematical background and enjoy solving difficult problems.

Perks and Benefits: 
This is a hybrid full-time position based at our headquarters in San Diego, CA. Depending on experience level, we generally either hire at the Math Curriculum Developer I or Math Curriculum Developer II level. The full salary range for Math Curriculum Developer I is 60 - 70k and the full salary range for Math Curriculum Developer II is 70 - 80k, both with a 4% year-end bonus. Based on experience, interview performance, and initial projects/responsibilities, we’re also occasionally able to hire directly into a Senior Math Curriculum Developer position. This position has a full salary range of 80 - 105k with a 6% year-end bonus. Some benefits of the position include:
