Job Description
The Multimedia Specialist (Contractor) works within brand guidelines to create multimedia assets for course design and related initiatives.  

The chosen candidate for this position will produce assets for courses, modular lessons, and resources that meet subject matter learning objectives for teachers and school leaders. The candidate is expected to draw upon the strengths of the existing team, contribute new ideas for product enhancements, and remain focused on quality and consistency.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.  
  • Collaborates with IDs, SMEs, contractors, and relevant stakeholders  
  • Manages multiple projects and strategizes deadlines  
  • Produces and edits visual resources for accuracy, clarity, creativity, and K12 brand alignment  
  • Schedules regular meetings with subject matter experts to discuss needs and next steps regarding content for course development;  
  • Adheres to roadmap timelines;  
  • Consults with the rest of the team to discuss standards and consistency of content and style that are coordinated across courses, units, and lessons;  
  • Seeks to continue growing and developing by staying appraised of current research and new design applications in the field.  
  • Creating new and innovative ways to expand our candidate pool in the ever-changing world of digital media;  
  • Creating internal and external communications campaigns;  
  • Developing, designing, and producing branding materials, such as: videos, web content, brochures, etc. which will assist with teacher marketing activities and other projects;  
  • Partnering with leaders to develop and execute comprehensive branding strategies through researching, writing and editing, press releases, white papers, internal communications, online communications and other related documents;  
  • Turning innovative and creative ideas into solid proposals and executable plans that link to organizational priorities;  
  • Creating brand awareness and positive impressions;  
  • Collaborating with department managers to determine visual marketing support needs and specifications, designing and developing photo and video collateral;  
  • Determining the need for and content of graphics to explain and enhance the written materials and edits materials for content, grammar, format, etc.;  
  • Creating graphics, layouts, and templates as needed;  
  • Collaborating with relevant team members to ensure that all products meet WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards  

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.  

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
Certificates and Licenses: None required  

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in graphic design  
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign and Acrobat 
  • Proficiency in WCAG guidelines and accessibility alignment  
  • Knowledge of Monday.com workflow management platform  
  • Ability to meet deadlines with creativity, independence, and high standards  
  • Demonstrated ability to establish objectives, identify problems, analyze data and creatively deliver solutions  
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on large-scale projects and adapt to new environments and meet new challenges head-on  
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.  
  • Ability to clear required background check  

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Experience with DominKnow course authoring platform strongly preferred 
  • Degree(s) in K-12 education, learning design & technology, and/or eLearning strongly preferred

  • Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. 
  • We anticipate this position will pay $22.56 - $31.73 per hour. This is a temporary/contractor role, and you will be an employee of Randstad. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
