Job Description:

Compensation Rate:
Hourly Rate: $18.50-19.50

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resolve customer concerns or questions relating to the Scholastic Retail business line and other orders as assigned. Perform outbound calling to follow up with customers or for specialized projects.  Enter various types of data accurately and efficiently into web-based applications; process orders in OTC, make clarification calls to customers and must be able to communicate clearly and professionally through multiple channels.  Record customer information in multiple systems for marketing and management teams.  Must have the ability and willingness to offer optimum customer service in all circumstances.  The role may often be challenging, so you should be able to remain calm and polite in a stressful situation.  Collaborating with the Management Team to serve the customers in the best possible way and passing on issues to the Management Team as needed, for assistance with customer resolutions.    
 
National Account Support Agent:
Work closely with our NY business partners.  Dedicated direct support for specific national accounts sales reps and their customers.  Provide specialized customer care to our best/largest volume customers (direct line of support for customers such as Amazon, Readerlink, and Ingram.)  Cross-trained to support all national accounts when necessary.  

Work directly in our customers proprietary systems/portals. 
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Retail Customer Service is required
•    Oracle experience required
•    Ability to learn new skills quickly and retain information learned 
•    Ability to apply the correct applications based on the line of business 
•    Excellent computer and phone skills
•    Ability to communicate effectively with customers via phone and e-mail
•    Excellent problem-solving abilities
•    Must be able to multitask and utilize multiple systems at one time and recognize priorities 
•    Must be willing to make decisions and use judgment in resolving customer problems
•    Average or above attendance and performance record
•    Willing to work flexible hours
•    Desire to be a team player
•    Computer skills, including Microsoft office suite
