Salesforce HCM Workday

Workday Configuration & Customization: 

  • Assist in configuring basic Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, or Recruiting. 
  • Support the resolution of system issues and provide user support as needed. 
  • Help with routine system maintenance, updates, and testing of new features or system upgrades. 
 
Workday Business Process Assistance

  • Collaborate with People Technology Partner, Operations, and business stakeholders to understand business needs and contribute to the design of workflows and business processes in Workday. 

Reporting and Data Analysis:

  • Assist in generating and maintaining basic system reports and dashboards in Workday and other relevant systems. 
  • Help analyze data to identify trends or issues and recommend system improvements. 
  • Run periodic proactive health checks on systems and integrations. 

Training and Documentation:

  • Support the development of training materials for end users, ensuring that documentation is clear and user-friendly. 
  • Help conduct training sessions or workshops on Workday functionality and processes. 

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving issues within the Workday other technology issues are transferred to you by the People Operations team. 
  • Provide ongoing support and technical guidance to end-users and other technical teams. 
  • Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and user experience. 
  • Work across our People technology stack and ecosystem, anchored in Workday, and supported by in-house tools, third-party tools (e.g., Salesforce and Nectar), as well as vendors.  The role includes both architecting and supporting tools themselves as well as the data they use and produce. 

System Maintenance and Updates:

  • Assist with routine system maintenance, including Workday updates, security reviews, and system audits. 
  • Stay up to date with Workday releases and enhancements, ensuring the organization maximizes the platform’s capabilities. 
 
Integration Support:

  • Work alongside senior people technology partner(s) to ensure the smooth operation of Workday integrations with internal and third-party systems. 
  • Assist in troubleshooting integration issues as needed. 

People Technology and Data Support:

  • Working across our people technology stack and ecosystem, anchored in Workday, and supported by in-house tools, partner tools (e.g., Salesforce and Nectar), as well as vendors.   
  • The role includes providing support for the tools themselves as well as the data they use and produce. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 4+ years of experience working with Workday, with a strong focus on HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, and other relevant modules. 
  • Experience working in Salesforce ticketing system is a plus 
  • Workday certifications in relevant modules (e.g., HCM, Integrations) are required. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work on technical projects and under the mentorship of more senior team members as needed. 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues. 
  • Good understanding of how HR, Payroll, and Recruiting processes, etc. work. 
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including strong data analysis and data storytelling skills. 
  • Experience working in a shared services environment is desired 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
