Principal Product Marketing Engineer
Job Summary
Lead corporate marketing strategy for AMD/Xilinx and Intel/Altera FPGA, SoC, ASIC development tools based on MATLAB and Simulink. Work with executive management and cross-functional teams to craft hardware and software market solutions for AI, vision, wireless, DSP, and controls applications. Own Long-Term Strategy for AMD/Xilinx and Intel/Altera FPGA, SoC, and ASIC development tools and solutions. Direct marketing activities and collaboration with sales, service and field engineers. Engage with driver accounts for enterprise adoption. Collaborate with EDA vendors such as AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microchip, Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens. Serve as area spokesperson and participate at industry events. May telecommute up to 40%. Position requires travel up to 10% domestic travel based on client needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field and [4] four years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal Product Marketing Engineer -related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a PhD degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and [2] two years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and [7] seven years of experience.
Position requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- Ability to assess EDA market opportunities, determining customer use cases and requirements, defining roadmap for EDA products, developing pricing models, and marketing collateral.
- Deep knowledge of HDL simulators such as ModelSim and Incisive, and exposure to FPGAs, SoCs, and EDA tools from AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, and Cadence such as Vivado and Quartus.
- Hands-on expertise and proven ability to demonstrate MATLAB, Simulink and HDL Coder workflows on AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, and Microchip FPGA & SoC evaluation kits.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams involving technical marketing, sales, and application engineering with focus on annual and long-term strategic success for EDA products.
