The Product Marketing Manager, Core leads the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy for the Core Reading/ELA portfolio, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales, and Strategic Marketing. This role is critical to build market awareness and business growth for the product line. The PMM champions the success of the portfolio by building collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders.  This individual enables the sales team and influences decisions on the product offering. This team player works with Imagine Learning leaders and engages with customers as well as thought leaders from the industry to drive awareness, growth, and visibility of the product(s).

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Product Marketing Director .
 
Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $95,133 and $100,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
 
Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.
 
Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 30% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Develop smart go-to-market plans and campaigns with our partners and internal stakeholders. 
  • Work with internal and external departments and sales to develop effective product/channel positioning and messaging. 
  • Support execution of business-driving marketing campaigns aligned to key priorities. 
  • Provide sales support to internal and external customers. 
  • Create and deliver content for portfolio marketing campaigns. 
  • Contribute to and edit product messaging for assigned products, as well as check accuracy and request changes. 
  • Help conceptualize, write, coordinate, monitor, and maintain postings of sales tools and communications to our internal and external partners 
  • Use market research to develop deep intimacy with specialized market needs. 
  • Attend key conferences and help drive events tied to area(s) of responsibility. 
  • Be responsive to our sales partners, communicating in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborate with team members, customers, and sales, creating lasting relationships. 
  • Act as the face of assigned products to key stakeholders. 
  • Other duties as required. 
 
Share Your Expertise.
Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 5+ years of experience in a product marketing role in the education technology industry; or an acceptable combination of education and experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of the core Reading/ELA market and the Science of Reading, particularly at grades K-5.  
  • Deep understanding of the K-12 customer buyer journey and key personas.  
  • Experience in K-12 market and competitor analysis. 
  • Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g., integrated marketing campaigns). 
  • Dynamic communication and presentation skills. 
  • Entrepreneurial drive and spirit.  
  • Team player attitude.  
  • Creative problem-solver. 
  • Excellent planning, research, organization, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
