Job Description
The Product Strategist will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy for key product initiatives, with a specialized focus on the creation of e-learning gaming apps and mobile applications. Reporting to the Head of Product, this role will contribute to the development of innovative and engaging e-learning applications. This individual contributor role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver successful products that meet business objectives and customer needs, with a keen understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in mobile and gamified learning experiences.    

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Strategic Product Planning (Mobile and E-Learning App Creation): Develop and articulate product strategies aligned with overall business goals, with a strong emphasis on mobile app development and the creation of e-learning gaming apps. Define target audiences, identify market opportunities, and prioritize features within the context of mobile and interactive learning environments. 
  • Product Roadmap Development (Mobile and Gamification): Create and maintain product roadmaps that clearly outline planned mobile app features and e-learning game releases. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations, with a focus on delivering engaging and effective mobile and gamified learning experiences. 
  • Requirements Gathering and Definition (Mobile and Interactive Learning): Elicit and document detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria specific to mobile applications and the creation of e-learning gaming apps. Work closely with engineering and design to translate these requirements into actionable development plans, considering the unique user interactions and design considerations of mobile and gamified platforms. 
  • Product Lifecycle Management (Mobile and Gamified Learning): Manage the product lifecycle from ideation and concept validation through development, launch, and post-launch analysis, with a focus on mobile app and e-learning gaming app performance. Monitor product performance and identify areas for improvement within the mobile and interactive learning context. 
  • Collaboration and Communication (Mobile and Gamification): Effectively communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, with a specialized ability to articulate the value and benefits of mobile and gamified learning experiences. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful mobile app and e-learning game development and launch. 
  • Data Analysis and Performance Tracking (Mobile and Gamified Learning): Analyze product performance data, including mobile app usage metrics and e-learning game engagement data, to identify trends, measure success, and inform future product decisions. Use data-driven insights to optimize product features and improve user engagement within the mobile and interactive learning context. 
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making (Mobile and E-Learning App Creation): Proactively identify and address product-related challenges specific to mobile app development and e-learning gaming app creation. Make informed decisions based on data, user feedback, and business objectives, with a deep understanding of the mobile and gamified learning landscape. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four-year college or university with 5-8 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a demonstrated focus on mobile application development and/or e-learning gaming app creation.    
  • Proven track record of successfully defining and executing product strategies, particularly in the mobile and e-learning app creation sectors. 
  • Strong understanding of product management principles and methodologies, with specific knowledge of mobile app and gamification best practices. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate the value of mobile and gamified learning solutions. 
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions, including mobile app usage metrics and e-learning game engagement data. 
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, with experience in mobile app or game development sprints preferred. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Experience launching mobile apps or e-learning gaming apps to market. 
  • Ability to align project objectives with overall business strategy, with a focus on mobile and gamified learning app creation initiatives. 
  • Basic understanding of project budgets, cost control, and resource allocation, particularly within mobile app and game development projects. 
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Notion, MS Office and G-Suite tools. 
  • Familiarity with, Tableau, Power BI, and Pendo, with experience in analyzing mobile app and game analytics preferred. 
  • Familiarity with E-learning platforms and standards.

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level.  Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.  Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
  • We anticipate the salary range to be $66,379.50- $170,037.60. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
