Professional Services Consultant 1 - Migration Consultant
Location Requirements: Remote based in Texas
Your role on the team:
We are seeking an entry level technical representative who will execute the steps that migrate a customer from one of our legacy platforms, to the company’s new platform.
This individual will play a critical role in leading and coordinating multiple large, complex projects simultaneously and associated deliverables during the implementation phases. This includes scope, risk mitigation, communication, timelines, milestones, and resources. The individual will also be responsible for managing/reviewing client data, preparing for, and completing the migration of client data.
Client migrations will be performed in quarterly batches with the expectation that between migration operations, the consultant will work cross-functionally with other Frontline groups to identify areas to improve processes and create documentation to support such improvements.
You can expect to:
- Detailed project planning and control activities, including:
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan
- Manage project deliverables and project team in line with the project plan
- Monitor, record and manage project issues and escalations when necessary
- Consistent management of project scope and change control
- Monitor project progress and performance
- Provide status reports to the project sponsor and executive leadership
- Lead the entire lifecycle of a project including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and close out
- Prepare for data migration, which includes:
- Defining the mapping and transformation values
- Extracting data from legacy systems
- Examining data for inconsistencies
- Executing the migration, and overseeing the process to completion
- Utilize prepared SQL scripts and run them in the correct sequence at the correct time
- Clearly communicate requirements and updates to clients
- Engage clients routinely to follow up on assigned work ensuring completion in time for migration
- Communicate the status of the assigned work, throughout the process
- Train clients, either Trainers or direct End-Users, in Frontline’s NextGen SPM Plan Management platform. This includes IEP, 504, and potentially RTI/MTSS solutions.
- Other duties as assigned
What you bring to the role:
- Ability to follow documented processes with specificity
- Prior experience working with computers
- Presentation skills and ability to lead large groups in training
- Ability to utilize tools such as Remote Desktop and SQL Server Management Studio is a plus
- Strong understanding of Excel is a plus
Qualifications
- Background in data migrations and project management.
- Previous experience successfully managing small - medium, mildly complex projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer facing SaaS-based business or similar Professional Services organization.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
