Job Summary | Join Red Butte Garden and Arboretum’s Adult Programs department and help us reach our mission of connecting people with plants and the beauty of living landscapes through various educational programming!
We are looking for an organized and outgoing individual to help with adult classes, workshops, lectures, and outreach. Work with Red Butte Garden staff, volunteers, guests and outside instructors to continue to improve program quality and attendee/guest experience. This position will be responsible for attending programs, being the point person for day of set up, guest greeting, registration, troubleshooting, clean up, etc. for all adult programs.
Responsibilities | Be the point person for assigned classes, workshops, and lectures Coordinate with instructor, guests and front desk staff to ensure a streamlined experience Set up, clean up, and troubleshooting for programming Assist in communicating with volunteers weekly regarding assigned duties/tasks Help with registering guests for programs Assist with data collection and organization Assist with outreach tabling events Assist with purchasing of class materials Assist with instructor communication and payment process Assist with other garden events as needed

Minimum Qualifications | Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Two years of related experience, ability to use logic and reasoning to prioritize tasks, expertise using MS Office software, and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required. Database experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field may be preferred.
