What you'll do here:
Manage projects and support activities for AWS Cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines, reporting to the DevOps Manager. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to provide insight and collaborate on scope, timelines, and execution. Enable Cengage's digital solutions for students and instructors from k-8 to college/university to lifelong learning settings.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully deliver multiple projects concurrently, including solution development and support for CloudOps AWS infrastructure and services, as well as DevOps CI/CD pipeline development and support.
- Lead CloudOps and DevOps Teams’ agile methodology and scrum processes, including sprint planning, releases, retrospectives, solution demos, and backlog grooming.
- Build and manage project timelines against project scope and goals in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Coordinate with CloudOps and DevOps engineers, other technology infrastructure departments, application team leaders, application project managers, and release managers to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
- Work closely with colleagues from various departments and external partners to ensure smooth project execution and alignment of objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate pre-release quality assurance checks to validate changes in DevOps pipeline systems.
Required Skills:
- Two to five years of work experience in technology project management, with focus on technology operations or application development.
- Experience in business administration or computer information systems, or applicable technology-related field is also considered.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum processes and practices, tracking and reporting.
- Ability to run multiple complex initiatives and projects, engaging cross-functional virtual teams, and third-party partners.
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud services, cloud infrastructure architectures, and Kubernetes application container solutions.
- Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD tools and processes, including Jira, Confluence Wiki, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible.
- Confidence in working with a large body of project work, managing shifting priorities and incoming project requests.
- Collaborating with application teams and partners to translate functional objectives into technical project plans and gaining commitments from team members for their roles in performing the plan.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Able to run high-functioning meetings, including facilitating and mediating productive conversations, working towards decisions efficiently, and effectively balancing advocacy and inquiry.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.$77,100.00 - $123,300.00 USD
