The QA/QI Coordinator performs functions related to audit, oversight, guidance and direction of RCS areas, processes, and policies with a particular focus on ensuring QA/QI in research protocols. The primary focus of this position is applying policies and regulations to provide expert advice and training to university administrators and employees on matters relating to QA/QI of research and preventing non-compliance with organizational policies and procedures relating to RCS areas. Other duties as assigned.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making skills, planning, and organizational skills; solid presentation, negotiation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and meeting management skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex multi tasking environment. Prior experience with policy and procedure interpretation and implementation. Understanding of QA/QI review process. Understanding of quality improvement practices and tools. Report writing experience.
QA/QI Coordinator III: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 4 years of relevant experience at a research university or a clinical or regulatory environment; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience with research practices. Understanding of Grants and contracts. Experience in the conduct and/or monitoring of research in a clinical or regulatory environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making skills, planning, and organizational skills; solid presentation, negotiation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and meeting management skills.
