Job Summary | The Office of Sponsored Projects Administration (OSPA) is seeking a
Research Administrator Principal – Functional Lead.
This position is eligible for remote work for candidates with prior research administration experience.
This position will be the resident expert on state agreements and other sponsors during high-volume award periods and a subject matter expert for complex research administration tasks. They will lead the review, negotiation, and execution of state contracts while managing high-priority assignments, including complex proposals, award negotiations, and staff support. This role requires advanced knowledge of research administration, sponsor policies, and federal regulations, along with strong negotiation, analytical, and critical thinking skills. The ideal applicant must be highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator, ensuring excellent service and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
