JOB TITLE: Sales Support Specialist

COMPENSATION: $50k-$60k
LOCATION: Remote (USA)

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Sales Support Specialist will deliver exceptional support to both internal and external customers, enhancing team collaboration and optimizing the speed and efficiency of the transactional quoting process.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal/External Customer Support
• Initiate all quote requests from Solution Design Specialists, external customers, and inbound lead follow-up
• Ensure all requests have required information, clean and accurate specifications, and are within the company’s standard for margin 
• Provide customer service by establishing positive relationships with both internal and external customers ensuring satisfaction and retention

Increased Speed & Efficiency of Overall Quote Process
• Assist Solution Design Specialists with system-related questions and communicate directly with vendors, when requested, on their behalf
• Verify proper use of customer purchasing cooperatives (various contracts)
• Estimate freight and installation costs and obtain actual freight and install costs for qualifying projects
• Maintain the standard metric of response time for all quote requests and follow up questions

Bid & Pricing Support 
• Work directly with ATC vendors to maintain complete and accurate pricing and communicate any updates to Meteor’s System Support team
• Assemble and submit ATC bid and proposal requests 
• Complete vendor forms from current and new customers 

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or its equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with a minimum of 3 years experience 
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and organizational skills 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail 
  • School furniture industry experience a plus

NOTE: All Meteor new hires are expected to attend an in-person cultural orientation (approx. 1 week) which requires travel to our home office in Gainesville, FL. Employees may also be required to travel and attend annual company meetings and events. All business-related travel expenses will be paid for by Meteor per our company travel and expense policy.
